Eclipse 1100HR A Elliptical Machine Review
The Eclipse 1100 comes at a
middle-of-the-road price tag of around $400 which seems reasonable for most
middle class buyers. The electronic interface allows you to track time,
speed, distance, and approximate calories burned. There are10 preset workout
programs to help customize your workout in an expedient manner. The focus
bar has hand pulse sensors to help you monitor your heart rate. The
slip-resistant foot pedals have a 15-inch stride length. Additionally,
there is a water bottle holder, reading rack – always helpful for the multi-tasker
- and a set of bottom wheels for easy transport. There is a 275 pound weight
capacity – which should be adequate for most people. This product carries a
one-year warranty.
Eclipse 1100 HR/A
Advantages:
- The workout is no-impact - it puts very little stress on your joints
- This one doesn't take up much space (good for apartments)
- It's not a perfect machine, but it's got a medium price, and it's
got a good number of features for what you're paying for.
Disadvantages:
- It's a little bit noisy - not too bad, but it could be a little more
quiet
- You need to periodically tighten up the bolts and screws on it,
which can be a little bit of a pain. For some people, it "settles" after
awhile and doesn't need this as much, but in the first month or so you
might be doing it a couple of times.
- While it does handle up to 275 pounds, if you are really close to
that, it can wobble somewhat when you're using it.
