Kettler Mondeo Elliptical Machine Review

The Mondeo is a stylish-looking, well-designed elliptical trainer by Kettler, with eight pre-programmed training options. By moving the foot petals and gripping bars together, users obtain both an upper and a lower body workout. Foot petals run both forwards and backwards on a circular track, with a system of high-quality ball bearings that ensure proper alignment. Traction pads beneath the base keep the device steady during even the most intense workout. Using an ear clip or the handlebar monitors, the heart controlled program tracks your heart rate and keeps it within the target zone. The Servo Magnetic Brake system allows for resistance levels from 1 to 15. A high-resolution, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Screen displays the time, profile, speed, number of rotations, distance, calories burned, and pulse rate. Wheels at the front end make the Mondeo easy to transport.

The Mondeo measures 59 x 61.5 x 21 inches, and includes a lifetime warranty on the frame. It weighs 205 lbs, and will accommodate users up to 330 lbs.  Since their start in 1949, Kettler has expanded their consumer base and now current sells in 60 countries worldwide.

Drawbacks: Because of the large drive wheel, taller users report dissatisfaction with the shorter stride length.
