Reebok Body Trek Elliptical Machine Review
The Trek Elliptical Trainer by Reebok
delivers a low-impact, total-body workout. By shifting arms and legs in sync
on a parallel plane, users will move in a smooth, striding motion. The Trek
employs powerful motor and a front wheel drive system, to ensure stability.
The stride length is 21”. The Trek offers 21 levels of resistance with a
digital control system, and seven pre-programmed options. The Trek measures
64 x 28 x 65, weighs 385 lbs and can accommodate users up to 375 lbs.
Reebok offers a six-month full warranty on parts and labor and a one-year
warranty on the motor.
Advantages:
- Not very big (good for storage)
- Gives you a decent workout. Adequate number of workout programs.
Disadvantages:
- Some websites convey a list price is deceptively affordable. The LCD
screen, a feature common to most elliptical trainers, will cost an
additional $975.00. Also, the trek does not offer heart rate controlled
programs.
- It can be easy to cheat with this machine because the arms work the
pedals as well (i.e., both your feet and your hands are moving the same
thing). Some machines have this as independent. So with this one, if
you're not careful, you may end up working just one group or the other.
- Doesn't fold up
- Can get kind of noisy
